Observations and Advocacy

We acknowledge that a child doesn’t exist in isolation - children are part of many systems, including family, school, kindy and extra-curricular activities, among others. We offer support for children in all settings, whether this is through observations at kindy or school to help inform the therapeutic intervention, or through advocacy.

Advocacy involves the therapist, with consent, having contact or attending meetings with schools, child care, kindy or outside-school care, to support educators and carers to understand the unique needs of your child, and put in place strategies to help your child to succeed in all environments. Observations and advocacy are implemented as part of a broader counselling intervention.
